BIOGRAPHY

Likun Nie, born in Tianjin in 2007, began to learn piano at the age of 5. In 2020, she was admitted to the Tianjin Juilliard Pre-College, where she studied with Professor Alvin Zhu. She is currently pursuing her studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music under Professor Ning An.

She won the first prize in the Professional Group A of the VIVACE France International Piano Competition, first prize in the Youth Artist Group of the Seventh Future Stars International Piano Competition, second prize in the Professional Youth Group of the Conero International Piano Competition, second Prize in Concerto Group of "Yamaha Asian Music Scholarship" Piano Competition of Tianjin Conservatory of Music, and third Prize in the Youth Performers Group at the 6th Paderewski International Piano Competition. In June 2023, she won the Concerto Competition at the Texas International Piano Festival in the United States and performed Rachmaninoff Second Piano Concerto with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

She has been guided by many musicians in master classes such as Yoheved Kaplinsky, Robert McDonald, Hung-Kuan Chen, Shai Wosner, Orli Shaham, Katarzyna Popova-Zydroń, Wojciech Świtała, Tamás Ungár, Mikhail Voskresenskyi, Vanessa Latarche, Xiangdong Kong, Yeesun Kim, Huiqiao Bao, Ching-Wen Hsiao, Gabriel Kwok, Jinsang Lee, and Jian Li. She has performed in prestigious venues like the Steinway House in Beijing, Tianjin Concert Hall, Tianjin Grand Theatre Concert Hall, Shanxi Grand Theatre Concert Hall, and held successful solo recitals at Tianjin Juilliard's performance hall.
