Chinese American pianist Victoria Sun (14) has distinguished herself through performances spanning concert halls, international festivals, and film collaborations. She has appeared as soloist with many orchestras including the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra, Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic, North Coast Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Collective of Orange County, LA Symphony Irvine, and the Qingdao Opera Symphony Orchestra.

At the age of thirteen, she was further honored with an invitation from His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla of England to meet and perform at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Her other recitals include performing at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Christ Church Cathedral and Pyatt Hall in Canada, Zipper Hall at the Colburn School, and Chiesa Santo Spirito in Acqui Terme, Italy.

Victoria’s artistry has been recognized through numerous competition successes, including first prizes at the Vancouver Piano Sessions Concerto Competition, LAYP Concerto Competition, CAPMT Regional Concerto Competition, Encinitas Youth Piano Concerto Competition, CAPMT OC Young Musicians Concerto Competition, and the GOCAA San Francisco International Music Competition. She has also received second prize at the AMICI Music Competition and MTAC OC Concerto Competition, as well as third prize at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition.

In addition to her concert career, Victoria has participated in music festivals and programs such as Vancouver Piano Sessions, InterHarmony International Music Festival, and Junior Chamber Music Orange County. At the age of fourteen, she was invited to perform at the Cannes Film Festival in a fundraising event. She has also performed in a special Steinway event with Duo Amal at Zipper Hall, and she appears as a featured musician and Associate Producer in the Oscar-qualified documentary film Amal / Hope (2025), which has been recognized at international film festivals including Bali, HollyShorts, Chagrin, and St. Louis. Beyond performance, she serves as a Vancouver Piano Sessions VP Student Ambassador and holds a leadership role at Pacific Serenades, a nonprofit dedicated to presenting chamber music.

Victoria currently studies with Dr. Myong-Joo Lee and has previously worked with Ning An, Dmitry Rachmanov, and Joan Lai. She has also participated in master classes and lessons with distinguished pianists including Haochen Zhang, Boris Slutsky, Alexander Kobrin, Michelle Cann, Spencer Myer, and Wei-Yi Yang.
