the first notes of musical discovery

KIDS offers a unique entry point into the world of music through creativity, play, and emotional connection. These workshops are free to all and designed to bring musical discovery to life for younger audiences during the festival.

Designed as a playful yet thoughtful introduction to music, KIDS offers a series of immersive workshops that encourage children to explore the expressive power of sound through the body, voice, and narrative. Led by experienced teaching artists, each session invites participants to engage deeply with music — not just by listening, but by moving, feeling, and creating.
These workshops lay the foundation for a lifelong connection to music by sparking curiosity, joy, and emotional awareness in a safe, dynamic, and artistically rich environment.

Workshops

STEPS INTO SOUND

Children internalize pulse and rhythm through full-body movement, imitation games, and playful interaction, fostering rhythmic awareness and an understanding of the link between rhythm and emotion.

MUSICAL MASKS

Children connect deeply with musical expression by exploring how emotions are embedded in harmony and melody—and how they can be reflected, shared, and transformed through storytelling and improvisatory play.
